65. Magnetic Martinique

Martinique's magic is in the culture which is a combination of African, Caribbean, French and Indian. The influences craft a lovely Lesser Antilles vibe. The tropical atmosphere draws you in to the capital Fort-de-France.

Top attractions include first the Cathédrale Saint Louis. It’s an amazing sight to see. La Savane de Enclave that captures the historical huts, traditional Creole garden and a medicinal garden. Also the Jardin des Balata is beautiful place filled with flowers, trees, creatures and more. Then the best beach is in Sainte-Anne. The happy highlight named a UNESCO World Heritage site is Mont Pelée. It’s an active stratovolcano with loads of ash and lava layers. It’s highest point is 1,397 m (4,583 ft). Imagine hiking up there, well you can in about six hours.
