23. Kosovo Kraze
It was my second time visiting a Balkan country. What an experience.
Also there are marvelous mountains, if you’re an adventurous outdoors type and cool coffee cafes for those who like to observe from the inside safely in Pristina. Take a walk along the Mother Teresa Boulevard and see the Newborn Monument. Then the beaming Brutalist architecture is displayed at the National Library.
For lunch, the historical Gjakova Grand Bazaar is fun to explore different types of delicacies and drinks as well as visiting local restaurants with friends.
A UNESCO site, the Gracanica Monastery attracts most visitors and the Visoki Decani Monastery close to Peja. The Ottoman vibes are everywhere. For culture, climb the Kalaja Fortress. This offers panoramic Prizren views. Lastly, there’s a Bear Sanctuary in you love wildlife. The brown bears are way too cute. Enjoy!
